Situated in western Kent between the North and South Downs, the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is home to around 55,000 residents.
A major part of the town's income derives from the tourist industry, originally as a result of the local spa springing from the ferrous rock common in the region, but nowadays primarily because of Tunbridge Wells' charming historic streets and gardens.
Sometimes described as a quintessentially English country town, Tunbridge Wells is home to a variety of historic buildings and immaculate parkland that create the idyllic, sleepy atmosphere that has proved so popular with visitors.
The spring itself, situated in the centre of the town at The Pantiles, is a landmark in its own right, as are the Wellington Rocks which protrude from the ground in the beautiful woodland of Tunbridge Wells and Rusthall Commons, also located near the centre of town.
